Lya du Toit is a Cape Town based actress who started her acting career at the age of 6. She is known for "Chicken", "The Kissing Booth" 2 and 3 (Netflix), "Our Connection to Water" (National Geographic), "American Monster", "Recipes for Love and Murder", and various South African productions ("Sara se Geheim 2", "Projek Dina", "Die Spreeus") and has also featured in a variety of commercials for the global and local market. Lya is a gymnast, a dancer and an avid kickboxer, but what truly lights up her life is being in front of the camera or on stage. She has also recently discovered a passion for script-writing, and has written and directed her school play with 16 actors performing on stage at a small theatre in Paarl. Everything she does, she does with passion, commitment and fire in her heart. She is fluent in Afrikaans, English and is currently learning Spanish in her free time.
