Angel Barnardo is an actor and student, living in Cape Town, South Africa. She is obsessed with the countryside and dreams of running in a quiet, open field with her 2 dogs. She enjoys writing, drawing and listening to all music especially singing along to tunes from the 80's. Angel loves art, poetry and books especially interpreting what the artist, poet & author is trying to convey. In 2023, she featured in the International TV series The Power directed by the highly acclaimed female director and cinematographer Reed Morano for Amazon. In 2022 she featured in a TVC for Amazon Web Services. At school, she was presented the Cedar House Award for the student who displays academic aspiration and strengthening the wider purpose of the community; one who serves, gives consistently, supports and lives with purpose. She was also nominated for 3 awards: Respect, Communicate and Collaborate. She received High Academic Achievement for Drama, English, History & Life Orientation. In 2022, she was presented the Social Justice Award for the student whose commitment to the ideals of social justice and social action is having an impact on our world; she was nominated for the Critical Think Award and nominated and received the Respect Award for the student who demonstrates respect for themself, others, the world that they live in, the learning process, and who most displays the power of aspiration. She also received Academic Honours for 6 subjects. Angel loves writing and is currently creating poems to publish as books of poetry. Angel achieved a Diploma at her Drama Eisteddfod and was a narrator in the church's Christmas production. In 2022, she participated in a conservation project about human and animal connectivity. She feels that before one starts trying to save a species, one needs to learn about why one has to appreciate them and how their value is much more than what resources they give us. It's their intrinsic value that really matters. Her continuous involvement in the Social Action programme at school preparing, cooking & serving food at The Haven Night Shelter, helps her build connections with humans from all walks of life. Angel is driven by understanding ‘why’. She is adamant to triumph over things she’s uncertain about and finds herself curious about the unknown.
